A calm, welcoming place to start
You can find VALOUR‑recognised veteran support centres across the UK.
They offer in‑person support to veterans and families in their local communities.
You do not need to be in crisis or need of referral to visit one.
At a VALOUR‑recognised centre, you can ask questions, explore your options and talk things through with people who understand military life.
Why visit a VALOUR-recognised centre?
VALOUR-recognised centres make it easier to find the support you need.
They form part of the UK’s first government-backed network of veteran support centres, bringing together local organisations so veterans and families can get the right support at the right time.
At each centre, you’ll find a space where you can talk things through, ask questions and take the next step in a way that feels right for you, with people who understand military life and are ready to help.
Trusted, recognised and held to high standards
All VALOUR‑recognised centres:
- meet agreed quality standards
- are backed by government funding and oversight
- are part of a UK‑wide system of connected support
Connected locally, supported nationally
VALOUR works at every level to make sure support joins up.
Locally, through recognised veteran support centres and trusted local charities.
Regionally, through VALOUR field officers working with councils and services.
Nationally, through a central VALOUR team in government.
Together, they help make sure veterans get the right support, in the right place, at the right time.

Can’t find a centre near you?
We’re expanding our network, with more locations coming in early 2027. We’ll be focusing on where they’re needed most.
In the meantime, you can still get support now by telephone, email or online referral.
You don’t have to do this alone
VALOUR-recognised centres are here to walk alongside you.
They offer a friendly, understanding space where you can take things at your own pace. There’s no pressure, no judgement – just people who get it, ready to listen and help you make sense of what’s next.
You might want practical advice, support with a specific issue, or simply a conversation with someone who understands. Whatever brings you through the door, you’ll be met with respect, patience and a genuine willingness to help.
And if the support you need sits elsewhere, you won’t have to navigate it alone. VALOUR-recognised centres can connect you to trusted local and national services, so you can find the right support together.
Taking that first step can feel like the hardest part. But you’re not alone, and support is closer than you think.
